Retail shops began offering favorite deals and discounts, this became so profitable and popular that many other countries followed suit, including South Africa.
Black Friday started with retail stores (Since online stores did not exist) and online stores joined when they started. Online stores lead to people being able to purchase deals and discounts just after midnight, this prompted some retails store to open their doors at midnight.
